  • Responsibilities 

    Monroe Co./Toledo North KOA is seeking full-time (36+ hours per week) workampers that are looking for a fast paced work environment. During peak season (May thru October) this is a high traffic campground, especially on the weekends.

    Located about 45 minutes from Detroit, 30 minutes from Ann Arbor, and 20 minutes from Toledo we are smack dab in the middle of all the festivals, activities, stores, and restaurants the area has to offer but far enough away that you can enjoy nature and not the noises of the city.

    This is a family focused campground with many guests who have been coming here for over 30 years. We put emphasis on activities and themed weekends which draws in a large crowd, especially on weekends. We are finishing our brand new epicenter of fun (Big Kahuna’s Outpost) that will include 2 brand new pools and a splash pad as well as a store, snack shop, bike/boat rentals & more, (Grand opening Memorial Day 2026) which we are expecting will drive reservations through the roof, resulting in a very busy summer.

  • Compensation/Benefits 

    This is a seasonal full time position averaging 36-40 hours/week throughout the season.

    • Pay: $13.73 an hour for all hours worked with a paid 30 min break
    • Season: Begins – April 17, 2026 // Ends – November 2026 (We take Workampers starting anytime in that timeframe. But, ask that you stay through Mid-November, as our Halloween Weekends are some of our busiest!)
    • Back-In Full Hook Up RV Site is available at a rate of $50 per pay period – paid bi-weekly, inclusive of water, electric, sewer, cable. **Sites are only available to workampers with an RV for example: fifth wheel, travel trailer, motor home. We do not have cabins available for employee housing.
    • Propane sold to employees at a 25% discount.
    • Kampstore and Snack Shack discounts apply.
    • Access to our entire park for you and your family which includes any activities during our themed weekends and our pools once fully built.

Job Description

Our housekeepers are stealthy ninjas of neatness. In the rugged realm of the campground, the housekeeper is the fearless frontier sweeper who transforms trampled cabins and s’mores-smeared lodges into sparkling sanctuaries of serenity!

Housekeepers report to the Lead Housekeeper or Assistant General Manager and must work efficiently in a fast-paced, outdoor setting, often involving varying weather conditions. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional guest service. A valid driver’s license and basic training in cleaning chemicals and safety procedures may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers, bathrooms, and bathhouses daily, including deep cleaning weekly, while replenishing supplies such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer.
  • Service guest accommodations, including cabins and lodges, dusting furniture, wiping surfaces, and ensuring rooms are guest-ready upon checkout.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors throughout common areas, clubhouses, pavilions, cabins, lodges and recreational spaces to maintain a spotless appearance.
  • Empty trash receptacles, remove debris, and transport waste to disposal areas, while recycling where applicable and keeping outdoor spaces tidy.
  • Dust, polish, and clean windows, walls, woodwork, rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture in all assigned areas, including kitchens, and pool facilities.
  • Manage laundry operations by sorting, washing, folding, and distributing linens, towels, and other textiles, including handling items from guest accidents or lost and found.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, and amenities; submit replenishment requests and organize storage areas, housekeeping golf carts, and supply rooms.
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, safety hazards, or broken equipment to management promptly, and assist in moving furniture or completing work orders as needed.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules, checklists, and protocols, including regular bathroom checks, CDC sanitation guidelines, and proper use of cleaning chemicals with safety gear like gloves.
  • Provide friendly guest service by greeting visitors, responding to requests, and ensuring all facilities are accessible and comfortable, while handling lost and found items responsibly.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, such as assisting with event setups, seasonal deep cleans, or supporting other campground staff during peak times.
