Job Description

We’re looking for a Dynamic Duo (Office & Maintenance) to join our Tribe for the Summer/Fall 2025 season (June – November) for a little hard work and a lot of good fun! “Centrally located in the middle of everywhere” is the best way to describe our 47-site, wooded journey campground. You’ll find us half a mile off exit 60 on I-26–within an hour’s drive of Columbia, Spartanburg, Greenwood, and Greenville, Lakes Murray and Greenwood. Plus, lots of nearby trails, lakes, and wineries to explore! For 28 hours (combined time) a week, we’ll ask one of you to help us with campground maintenance (lawn & site care). Prefer zero-turn experience, but will train. The other camper will help us in the office/store, with occasional cleaning duties, too. In return, you’ll receive an RV site with full hookups (including paid electricity, $1,050 value) and a monthly allowance for firewood, laundry, ice, and propane. (Basically, you won’t pay for anything that the campground can provide, including snacks and drinks during your shifts, discounts in the Kampstore, and uniform shirts.) Cash bonuses for superior teamwork at the end of your contract! Did we mention we have super speedy WiFi, a saltwater pool (open from May – October), and a dog park?

We’re excited to meet y’all, so please send your workamping resume to us: newberrysc@koa.com with a subject line of “Dynamic Duo.”

Special Note: We are a Family & Veteran-Owned and Operated KOA Journey Campground. We are award-winning and ranked 4th in the KOA Nation for customer service and support for 2024. We are inviting you to join our Tribe–our family. We understand the workamping and full-timer lifestyle. We’ve done it. We can’t guarantee that you’ll work on the same shifts, but we can guarantee the same days (on and off). We want you to leave the campground to have fun and explore this amazing, beautiful, and historic state! This position is perfect for a retired couple; however, this isn’t the place for folks who need an income. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office and ask for me: Becci, The Director Of Smiles and Co-Owner.
