  • Responsibilities 

    Campground Maintenance responsibilities:

    • Mowing, weed eating, and weed control throughout the campground
    • Mulching, pulling weeds, and maintaining landscaped areas
    • General upkeep of the property, including filling potholes, repairing gravel washouts, and clearing fallen limbs
    • Performing basic maintenance and light repairs (such as minor plumbing fixes and small facility repairs)
    • Helping maintain overall campground appearance, safety, and functionality
    • Reporting major damage or larger repair needs involving cabins, campsites, roads, or utilities to management

    Float Trip Attendant Responsibilities:

    • Reviewing the daily float report from the front desk to prepare for scheduled trips
    • Loading and unloading canoes and kayaks onto trailers
    • Loading the correct number of life jackets and paddles for each trip
    • Safely transporting guests to drop-off points and picking them up at designated locations
    • Assisting guests with basic instructions and answering questions before and after their float
    • Providing friendly, professional customer service to float trip guests

  • Compensation/Benefits 

    For WorkKamper couples applying for both the Maintenance and Camp Host positions, the RV site will be provided through the Camp Host position, and this role will be paid $18/hour for all hours worked.

    For WorkKampers applying solo or for just the Maintenance position you will receive a Full Hookup RV site in exchange for 17 hours of work per week. All additional hours are paid at $18/hour.

Job Description

This position plays an important role in both the daily upkeep of the campground and the operation of our float trips on the St. Francis River. We are looking for someone who loves being outdoors, enjoys hands-on work, and doesn’t want a job stuck inside. It’s a great fit for someone who takes pride in physical work, likes variety in their day, and is comfortable helping guests and working in outdoor recreation. If you enjoy fresh air, active days, and being around the river and campground environment, then this job might be for you.
