  • Responsibilities 

    Monroe Co./Toledo North KOA is seeking full-time (36+ hours per week) work campers that are looking for a fast paced work environment. During peak season (May thru October) this is a high traffic campground, especially on the weekends.

    Located about 45 minutes from Detroit, 30 minutes from Ann Arbor, and 20 minutes from Toledo we are smack dab in the middle of all the festivals, activities, stores, and restaurants the area has to offer but far enough away that you can enjoy nature and not the noises of the city.

    This is a family focused campground with many guests who have been coming here for over 30 years. We put emphasis on activities and themed weekends which draws in a large crowd, especially on weekends. We are finishing our brand new epicenter of fun (Big Kahuna’s Outpost) that will include 2 brand new pools and a splash pad as well as a store, snack shop, bike/boat rentals & more, (Grand opening Memorial Day 2026) which we are expecting will drive reservations through the roof resulting in a very busy summer.

  • Compensation/Benefits 

    This is a seasonal full time position averaging 36-40 hours/week throughout the season.

    • Pay: $16.00 an hour for all hours worked with a paid 30 min break
    • Security Season: Begins – May 21, 2026 // Ends – November 2026 (We do ask that you stay through November 1st, 2026, as our Halloween Weekends are some of our busiest!)
    • Anticipated Hours:
      • Full time hours (32-40 hours per week) Memorial Day through Labor Day
      • Part time hours (24-32 hours per week) Labor Day through Season end
    • RV Site: Back-In Full Hook Up RV Site is available at a rate of $50 per pay period – paid bi-weekly, inclusive of water, electric, sewer, cable. **Sites are only available to workampers with an RV for example: fifth wheel, travel trailer, motor home. We do not have cabins available for employee housing.
    • Discounts:
      • Propane sold to employees at a 25% discount.
      • Kampstore and Snack Shack discounts apply.
    • Access to our entire park for you and your family which includes any activities during our themed weekends and our pools once fully built.

Job Description

Our night security is our first contact to after hours guest resolutions. They will carry the Security phone during shift and overnight to answer guest calls. Driving around the park in a golf cart, making their presence known and helping enforce quiet hours (11pm – 7am) will be a top priority. Weekends are paramount. 

  • After Hours – Assisting guests with check in & guiding them to their sites
  • Shifts run around 6pm to no longer then 2 am if done well, 5 days per week
  • Handling conflicts after hours
  • Being able to use conversation before escalation is the greatest trait our security staff can have
  • Delivering Firewood / Filling Propane (during open store hours)
  • Maintenance experience, such as changing breakers is a huge plus because often times you will be the last one working.
