  • Responsibilities 

    Maintainance:  Maintaining tree branches over roads.  Mowing and weed eating grass in front pasture and around RV sites.  Maintaining stormwater flows and repairing roads with tractor after flooding.  Repairing furniture, painting, etc.  Welding and some electrical experience is a plus.

    Front desk:  Making reservations.  Receiving check-ins and directing guests to their sites.  Ring up store sales and keep office/store tidy.  Morning shift prepares medium size buffet, and washes serving dishes.

  • Compensation/Benefits 

    Housekeeping and front desk start at $14 to $15/hr depending on the length of their experience.

    Maintenance is $15 to $16/hr depending on skills.

Job Description

SUMMER SEASONAL POSITIONS — GUEST REGISTRATION, MAINTENANCE AND HOUSEKEEPING for small (55-space) northern New Mexico KOA Campground starting April 1st. The park is located in the Sangre de Christo Mountain foothills between Santa Fe and Taos, NM, at 6,500-foot elevation in the small town of Las Vegas, NM. High mountain lakes, skiing, fishing, and delicious restaurants are abundant in the nearby national forests and resort towns. Temps range from a 95-degree high in the summer to 20-degree low in the winter during daylight hours. Santa Fe is an hour away. The schedule for guest registration is four 6.5-hour shifts per week (26 hrs/wk). Maintenance is four to five 7-hour shifts per week. Housekeeping five 4-hour shifts per week. To comply with IRS regulations site rental is $200/mo Total (for 1 or 2 persons) plus electricity charges if OVER $100/mo at an additional chg at $0.13/kh . Starting hourly pay for Gst Regstrn and Hskp is $14.00/hr, to $15/hr, extra for those with recent KOA guest registration software experience. Positions end October 31, 2025. Duties include helping prepare home cooked, self-serve breakfast for 3 to 25 people daily, washing serving dishes, ringing up small-store sales, and keeping registration area clean (Gst Rgstn position).
