Job Description

This is for the summer season of 2024.
May 1st through October 31st.
We are the Mitchell KOA Journey in South Dakota (1-night stay for most guests). We have 65 RV sites, 10 tent sites, and 5 Kamper Kabins. We are 3 miles east of Mitchell SD which has many conveniences such as a Super WalMart, Cabella’s, Menards and a quaint downtown area that is home to the World’s Only Corn Palace (Google it – it’s pretty cool!) and many restaurants to choose from.

This posting is for a couple or a single person.

We are looking for hard-working, customer-oriented Work Kamper individuals.

Guest Services Position:
This person will work the front desk, taking reservations, checking in guests plus cleaning the restrooms, laundry area, cabins, and store. This person will also be expected to assist with stocking and taking inventory in the store. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift 40 lbs occasionally, bend, sweep, vacuum, and mop.

Maintenance Position:
This person would help mostly outside with general landscaping including but not limited to the following: mowing grass, raking, tree trimming, edging, weed eating, fire pit clean out, dispensing propane, basic plumbing and electrical along with general maintenance. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift 40 lbs, bend, sweep, rake, use simple power tools (drill, saw, hammer & other hand tools), deliver firewood and ice, etc…. Escort campers to their sites.

K2 experience is preferred.

Weekends and holidays are expected
30 – 35 hours per week
5 days ON with 2 consecutive days OFF together
