The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the campground/resort. As the General Manager, you are the face of our brand within the community. This is a full-time position and reports to the District Manager. Multiple positions are available and are located in Maine and New Hampshire.Â
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Guests Services
- Manage operations to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction
- Go the extra mile to address and solve camper-related issuesÂ
- Know your guests, then create and oversee unique and memorable onsite events for them, like live music, camper competitions, kids activities, etc.
- Design rules, guidelines, and best practices to maximize your guests’ experience
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and lead your on-site team
- Manage and work alongside your team to achieve specific goals and objectives
- Lead professional development and cross training with your team
- Perform weekly one-on-one meetings to track individual performance
- Stay in tune with the capabilities and efforts of your teamÂ
- Make recommendations for appropriate promotions
- Oversee staffing and scheduling to ensure your team is maximizing productivity
- Hold regular meetings to communication about daily priorities and process changes
- Follow and train all on internal company processes/systemsÂ
Operations
- Day to Day Operations of the park
- Maintain the safety and wellness of the facility
- Handle emergencies that may arise onsite
- Engage with vendorsÂ
- Resolve guest complaints in a timely & professional manner
- Ensures that overall resort appearance is well maintained & groomed
- Reports any deficiencies which would adversely affect the operation of the resortÂ
- Enforces resort rules & regulations
- Ensure great customer service by coordinating daily operationsÂ
- Organize and provide timely follow up on all requests from home officeÂ
- Participate in other projects and activities as assignedÂ
- Maximize camper-nights, revenue, store sales, and ancillary revenue
- Manage operational expenses.
- Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for your park and your team.
- Ensure that your park and its amenities are fully operational.
- Drive growth and promotion of your campground’s service offerings.
- Review daily reports and work to finalize weekly and monthly reports.Â
- Recommend, oversee and implement capital improvement/infrastructure projects
Accounting/FinancialÂ
- Maintain financial reporting of reservation, store, food, and add-on sales, labor costs, and controllable expenses and monitor to improve financial results
- Analyze accounting and financial data to maximize revenue
- Handle all invoices in accordance with home office processes
- Maintain petty cash & activity accounts
- Handle bank deposits and submit to home office
- Monitor and handle overdue invoices and reservation balances
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCEÂ
- To be successful in this position a Bachelor’s degree is recommended
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a management position. Hospitality, Hotel, or RV Resort Â
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSÂ
- Ability to work long hours and weekendsÂ
- Ability to be on call 24 hours a day during occasional periodsÂ
- Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and writing skillsÂ
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and perform physical dutiesÂ
- Must have valid driver’s licenseÂ
- Personable, enjoy working with children/peopleÂ
- Possess excellent organization and project management skills, leadership skills as well as the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks simultaneouslyÂ
