Job Description

Front Desk position needs an applicant who enjoys talking to people; who is kind; answers the same question over and over with a smile; team player; no drama.  A person who can speak well on the telephone and make a reservation.  A person who can execute a store sale and who can account for cash/credit card sales.  The front desk person part of the work camper couple will work the same days and shifts of her outdoor counterpart.  Good communication skills and attention to detail are important skills to have.  KOA Kampsight K2 experience is a plus.

 

The Grounds/Maintenance part of the couple will be responsible for escourting people to their campsites and assisting them back into their site.  All of our sites are back in.  The Grounds person is also responsible for cleaning up campsites after the camper departs.  This includes mowing or weed whipping, cleaning fire pit and cleaning the picnic table.  Picking up micro human trash is an important detail of the cleaning process.  The grounds people also operate the honey wagon for campers staying in non-sewered sites.  Opening and closing the dumpsters, doing minor plumbing, electrical,  or wood repairs are part of maintaining the campground.

Both Office and Grounds positions include light housekeeping of 14 cabins (not all at once!) and cleaning two bathrooms/showers.  Housekeeping is done by all couples on a rotating basis.

Compensation is Colorado minimum wage  $14.81/ hour in 2025-expected to raise.  All hours worked are paid.   You also receive a FREE full hook up site (Water, Electric, Sewer, WIFI); 30% off store purchases; Free laundry quarters; propane sold to you at cost; some discounts if family members visit the campground while you are working there; and work shirts with name tags.
