  • Responsibilities

    General Duties: Responsible for the daily planning, management, and leadership role on the campground, to include registration, retail, other income items, all other outlets centers, physical grounds and related financial reporting and other various duties assigned by the owner(s).

    Specific Duties:
    – Manage and maintain a qualified, friendly, and professional staff using proper personnel procedures for hiring, training, scheduling, and management of all employees to comply with the payroll budget and business needs
    – Oversee the delivery of Making it Great guest service, by engaging and demonstrating a positive and friendly interaction with guests and team members throughout all areas of the campground. Thank your staff, guests, and have fun with what you do!
    – Promote the KOA system by referring your guests to other KOA’s along their journey, selling the Value Kard Rewards card and keeping staff informed of all KOA programs
    – Manage and maintain the standards and cleanliness of the campground’s physcial grounds to meet the needs of the guest and comply with the annual Quality Review process
    – Oversee general maintenance of the physical grounds and infrastructure. This will involve working with contractors on a project by project basis for repairs and maintenance that cannot be performed by staff
    – Work with owners and give input of ways to make customer experience better and increase existing or generate new revenue streams
    – Ensure the integrity of the operation by maintaining tight control of cash generated by the campground, including audits of all cash sources, cash deposits and account reconciliations on a regular basis
    – Monitor the compliance to all campground policies, programs, and procedures, including safety requirements
    – Enforce all rules and regulations established for the campground, including providing notice for violations, and assist in the eviction process (if/as needed)

    Negotiable compensation package – Starting pay range at $18, plus free on-site housing or FHU RV site, and other various perks.

Job Description

We’re looking for camping an enthusiast to join our work camper family as Campground Manager of the Green River KOA, in Green River Utah. We are a year round park. We are looking for a Manager to take over the park before the 2024 season ends (October 2024) and stay until March 31, 2025.

We have a small but mighty campground, located centrally to some of the best outdoor recreation you can find anywhere in the country. Our laid back and big-happy family atmosphere make working here feel more like vacation than work.

This position requires knowledge and use of computers, specifically KOA’s online reservations system (K2). If no previous experience, the ability to learn how to use the computer and registration program is a must. Other duties include: answering phones and making reservations, greeting campers as they arrive and checking them in, answering their questions about the campground and local attractions/activities, stocking the store shelves and maintaining retail merchandise in good condition, cleaning the store (vacuum, sweep, dust, windows, etc), watering plants, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed. This role will involve handling money, both cash payments and processing credit cards. Onsite and online training for Kampsight(K2) is available if needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
– Hear and speak the English language fluently
– Knowledge of computer and cash register operation
– Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
– Excellent customer services skills
– Ability to maintain confidentiality

Green River KOA is off I-70 in Green River, Utah, near the Green River and centrally located to several National and State Parks, slot canyons and petroglyphs. Green River is a small community with a local grocery and hardware store and great restaurants. Many activities & attractions are within an hour drive. Activities such as movies, shopping and area hospitals are available in Price or Moab, UT, or Grand Junction, CO.
