Year-round, smaller KOA Journey on U.S. 50 (“the loneliest highway”) in the high plains desert of Southeast Colorado, creatively themed on dinosaurs, tarantulas & trains!  Clean, safe & quiet.  Has been a campground since the 1950’s and a KOA since 1969.  Owned by Wendee Patterson and managed by Brad Patterson since 2016.  Has 51 RV sites (all full hookup), 4 awesome tent sites, and nine lodgings, including a Cool Caboose! and two tiny homes, swimming pool, fun playground & mini-golf, Kamp K9, laundry & Rec Room.  Huge Wifi upgrade in 2025!  Adding three more railcar lodgings and a third tiny home.  Five minute walk to Walmart & Dollar store; five minute drive to downtown La Junta (population 7,000); one hour to Pueblo, Colorado.
