  • Responsibilities 
    • Key Responsibilities

      Grounds & Facility Maintenance

      • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of campground grounds, RV sites, cabins, common areas, roads, and recreational facilities.

      • Ensure all facilities—including restrooms, laundry rooms, pools, playgrounds, activity areas, and other amenities—are clean, safe, and fully operational.

      • Conduct routine inspections of the campground to identify maintenance needs and ensure high-quality standards are maintained.


      Equipment & Infrastructure

      • Maintain and repair campground infrastructure including electrical, water, sewer, irrigation, and utility systems.

      • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

      • Perform preventative maintenance on maintenance equipment, vehicles, and tools.

      • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, stored, and operated safely.


      Team Leadership

      • Supervise, train, and support the maintenance staff to ensure work is completed efficiently and professionally.

      • Assign daily tasks, prioritize projects, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.

      • Provide guidance on maintenance procedures, safety practices, and campground standards.

      • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment that encourages accountability and teamwork.


      Safety & Compliance

      • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards, campground policies, and regulatory requirements.

      • Maintain compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

      • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues or guest safety concerns.

      • Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities, infrastructure, and equipment.


      Project Coordination

      • Assist with planning and executing improvement projects, upgrades, and renovations across the property.

      • Coordinate with campground management on maintenance priorities, schedules, materials, and budgets.

      • Monitor supply inventory and order necessary maintenance materials, tools, and equipment.


      Guest Service

      • Provide friendly and professional interactions with campground guests when addressing maintenance needs.

      • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns related to facilities or property maintenance.

      • Support the overall guest experience by ensuring the campground remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.

    • Technical Maintenance Skills

      • Knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

      • Ability to troubleshoot and repair campground infrastructure, including RV electrical hookups, water lines, sewer connections, and utility systems.

      • Experience maintaining campground amenities such as cabins, bathhouses, laundry facilities, pools, playgrounds, and activity areas.

      • Understanding of preventative maintenance practices to keep equipment and facilities operating efficiently.

      • Ability to operate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, tractors, skid steers, power tools, and utility vehicles.

      Leadership & Team Management

      • Ability to lead, train, and supervise maintenance staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.

      • Strong task management and delegation skills.

      • Ability to prioritize maintenance requests and projects based on urgency and operational needs.

      • Experience promoting a team-oriented work environment and maintaining staff accountability.

      Problem-Solving & Decision Making

      • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.

      • Ability to respond to maintenance emergencies in a timely and professional manner.

      • Good judgment when prioritizing repairs and maintenance tasks.

      Organizational Skills

      • Ability to manage multiple maintenance projects and daily tasks efficiently.

      • Strong attention to detail and campground appearance standards.

      • Ability to track maintenance schedules, inspections, and inventory of supplies and tools.

      Safety & Compliance

      • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and safe equipment operation.

      • Ability to ensure maintenance work complies with local codes, campground policies, and safety standards.

      • Experience conducting safety inspections of facilities and equipment.

      Communication & Guest Service

      • Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, and campground guests.

      • Professional and courteous approach when responding to guest maintenance concerns.

      • Ability to work collaboratively with other campground departments.

      Physical & Outdoor Work Skills

      • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

      • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, climbing, and operating machinery.

      • Comfortable working in a fast-paced seasonal environment.
