  • Responsibilities 

    Summary:
    The Maintenance Engineer (ME) is responsible for the general maintenance, operation and upkeep of the
    campground buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds. This position performs general carpentry, electrical,
    painting, and plumbing work and install new fixtures, equipment, and appliances as needed.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance/repairs to campground buildings, facilities, equipment,
    vehicles, and grounds as directed by the engineering supervisor.
    • Comply with all KOA, federal, state, and local safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the
    operation and storage of various equipment, tools and chemicals.
    • Maintain compliance with preventative maintenance program through regular inspection of facilities, buildings,
    cabins, vehicles, and equipment.
    • Inspecting equipment to ensure proper functioning of heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical systems,
    etc.
    • Troubleshoot problems with equipment to determine the cause of failure and determine the best solution for
    repair or replacement.
    • Install fixtures, equipment, and appliances as needed.
    • Safe operation of swimming pool and aquatic water features by maintaining proper pool chemistry while safely
    handling all pool chemicals.
    • Approach all encounters with guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
    • Prioritize tasks based upon importance and urgency with conscious planning and thoughtful decision making.
    • Comfortable in high-pressure and fast paced situations while maintaining composure and objectivity.
    • Maintain property by following the quality assurance manual.

    Will be put in rotation to carry After hours/emergency phone and respond to guest issues.

    Required Education and Experience:
    • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment and installation
    • Basic knowledge of chemical properties, handling and usage
    • Basic knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensing
    • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
    • Capable of working independently and as part of a team

    • Valid Driver’s license
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
    • Work is performed primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly, lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally with
    assistance.
    • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, push, pull, reach overhead and move safely over uneven terrain.
    • Use of repetitive motion, standing, bending, sitting, lifting, and walking.
    • Noise levels may be moderate to loud.
    • May be exposed to dust, pollen, grasses, landscaping, and various chemicals and moving mechanical equipment.
    • Use of personal protective equipment required where necessary.
    • Will experience occasional interruptions and shifting priorities.
    • Valid driver’s license required, this position may be expected to drive a motorized vehicle which
    requires close and distance vision, sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, etc

  • Compensation/Benefits 

    FHU site 50/30/20, water, sewer, WIFI. Site rent $92.30 per pay period.

    25% discount on store and propane purchases.

    $15.00 per hour.

**THIS POSITION WILL HAVE A DUAL ROLL AS HOUSEKEEPING AND FRONT DESK**

Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment. The
Housekeeper cleans all private offices and public common areas including the general store, restrooms, and
accommodation units while maintaining departmental standards
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Clean and style accommodation rooms and public areas efficiently, to brand expectations, with attention to
detail and within time standards.
• Refresh and replenish guest rooms with amenities, supplies, lines, and applicable collateral to ensure all items
are available for guest use.
• Complete requests in a timely manner and in order of priority.
• Take ownership to resolve guest challenges, working collaboratively with the guest services team and property
leadership.
• Complete appropriate forms and turn in any items left by guest to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• Wash, dry and fold laundry as required.
• Sanitize kitchen and bathrooms, scrub basins, tubs, toilets, and floors using appropriate chemical solutions in
accordance with industry standards and company policy while using protective equipment.
• Sign out and sign in master room keys daily.
• Report room condition and status to housekeeping supervisor and guest services.
• Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart according to prescribed housekeeping safety and
security procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas of campground.
