  • Responsibilities 

    Key Responsibilities

    Operations & Leadership

    • Oversee daily campground operations across all departments
    • Serve as Manager on Duty when the owner is unavailable
    • Ensure compliance with KOA policies and quality assurance standards
    • Maintain a safe environment by enforcing local, state, and federal safety requirements
    • Lead with professionalism in high-pressure and fast-paced situations

    Staff Management

    • Hire, train, schedule, and support campground staff and workkampers
    • Coordinate workkamper schedules and assignments
    • Foster a positive work environment focused on engagement, morale, and accountability
    • Support employee development and model KOA’s Culture, Mission, Values, and Goals

    Guest Experience

    • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns effectively
    • Maintain guest satisfaction and Net Promoter Scores through staff training and property standards
    • Plan and coordinate campground activities and events

    Administrative & Financial Oversight

    • Assist the owners in meeting monthly and annual budget goals
    • Ensure accurate cash handling and accounting compliance
    • Manage inventory and ensure adequate supplies are maintained
    • Prepare operational reports related to scheduling, attendance, efficiency, and procedures
    • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

    Property & Maintenance Oversight

    • Conduct regular inspections of cabins and facilities with housekeeping and maintenance supervisors
    • Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance and deep cleaning programs
    • Maintain property appearance in alignment with KOA Quality Assurance manuals

    • Achievement of guest satisfaction and Net Promoter Score targets
    • Positive employee engagement and experience metrics
    • Accurate cash control and adherence to KOA financial policies
    • Consistent quality assurance compliance

About the Role

At KOA, we create unforgettable camping experiences for guests from all walks of life. We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in KOA operations, hospitality, staff supervision, and activity coordination who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example.

This position primarily oversees store operations, while also supporting housekeeping and maintenance, coordinating workkamper scheduling, and planning campground activities and events. You will serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the owners and play a key role in maintaining KOA standards, culture, and guest satisfaction.
