  • Responsibilities

    SPECIFIC DUTIES :

    • Provide superior guest service over the telephone, through messages, and in person, by being enthusiastic, attentive, friendly, and helpful.
    • Greet all guests with a positive attitude and a well-groomed appearance, a smile, recognition, and a proper KOA uniform and name tag.
    • Handle all guest issues with respect by listening and acknowledging their concerns and providing the information to the appropriate staff.
    • Follow all Resort guidelines and procedures regarding the handling of payments, registrations, reservations, store sales, and refunds.
    • Follow specific cash and credit card handling procedures and properly use the computer, reservation system, square retail system, cash register, tablets, credit card, and various other front desk equipment.
    • Handle daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled stocking and cleaning procedures directed by the manager.
    • Educating guests on all aspects of the resort including Miners Village, Diamond Mines, Food Service, and all other affiliated properties.
    • Providing information to guests about the local area.
    • Completing daily tasks as directed by your direct supervisor/ manage.
  • Compensation/Benefits

    Hourly Rate $15.50

    Site Cost $200 per month

Camp Store / Registration

Guest Service Position Summary:

Responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with store operations, guest registration, routine stocking/ cleaning, and completing tasks as directed by the supervisor/ manager.

EXPECTED RESULTS :

  • Each team member is expected to work 32 hours a week.
  • All guests are greeted immediately upon entrance with friendly, helpful, and professional guest service delivery.
  • Demonstration of a positive attitude with guests, management, team members, and vendors.
  • Careful and accurate money handling.
  • Promotion of the Herkimer Diamond Mines KOA Resort, Herkimer Diamond Mines, Food Service Locations, and all other affiliated properties.
  • Well-groomed appearance and appropriate, clean KOA uniform and name tag.
  • Attention to detail when making reservations and/or registering guests.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Hear and speak the English language fluently.
  • Basic knowledge of computer and tablet operation.
  • Basic knowledge of cash register operation.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
