  • Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    *Perform operations associated with the campgrounds boat rental operation (back up roll). Including: Fueling, instructing guests on proper use and safe handling, fitting guests with life jackets (PFD’s) as required by law, enforcing owner’s rules of operation, inspecting and cleaning boats after rental, securing and storing equipment after use all as outlined by your immediate supervisor or owner(s).
    •Split (motorized hydraulic splitter) wrap and stack firewood as needed to maintain adequate inventory for sale at the campground store.
    •Bag and stack bags of ice in freezers as needed to maintain adequate inventory for sale at the campground store.
    •Clean camp sites (tent & RV) & exterior cabin areas daily after guest checkout including proper disposal of ashes from fire pits and thoroughly clean the campsites/cabin exteriors for trash and debris in preparation for next guest arrival.
    •Clean restroom and shower building daily as outlined by your immediate supervisor or owner(s) using appropriate cleaning chemicals on appropriate items only as trained.
    •Perform general housekeeping duties according to provided checklists.
    •Provide excellent and friendly guest service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to all guests needs. Greet the guests at every opportunity by demonstrating a friendly welcome.
    •Safely escort guests to their campsite lending aid with turning, backing and positioning (especially with over-sized RV’s) until they are safely positioned in their assigned site.
    •Present a positive impression with a well-groomed appearance, smiles and proper KOA uniform and name tag

  • Compensation/Benefits

    Wages: $14.00/Hr.
    The remote location of our facility requires staff to live onsite.
    If you have your own RV: A full hookup RV site at no cost & paid utilities as an additional employee benefit.
    If you DON’T have an RV: A limited amount of on-site living quarters are available at no cost with utilities paid as an additional employee benefit.
    Staff accommodations include 2 travel trailers with queen beds, kitchens, and RV bathrooms.
    Season-end bonus: $0.50 per hour worked bonus for completing your agreed-upon work season. The bonus rate is increased for returning staff

    • Free Use of rental kayaks, canoes, paddle boards or pedal boats during off hours (evening or days off – when available)
    • Free Use of rental motorized aluminum fishing boats during off-hours (evening or days off – when available)

The Support Staff position is responsible for supporting the owners in the day-to-day preparation, operation and activities of the campground. To provide superior guest service by responding to the needs & requests of our guests. This widely varying position requires a self-starter that can see needs in advance through observation of operations and guest interaction. A willingness to move from widely differing activities quickly and regularly throughout the day.
