  • Responsibilities

    BOAT RENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Fueling of motorized boats – for partial day rentals or before the next day’s rental period.
    • Cleaning boats
    • Inspecting major components for damage & proper operation after rental.
    • Instructing guests on proper operation, use & safe handling of rental equipment.
    • Assuring all liability release forms are properly filled out & signed by the user or responsible adult (if user is under 18).
    • Checking in & out, tracking & fitting guests with life jackets (PFD’s) as required by law.
    • Checking in & out & tracking other boat related equipment with instruction on proper use (i.e. oars, paddles, anchors, nets, chairs, ladders).
    • Regular Cleaning of PFD’s & inspecting them for wear.
    • Enforcing the owner’s rules of operation as it relates to boats.
    • Guiding/helping guests safely enter/exit boats or other equipment.
    • Report all broken or damaged rental equipment or other items.
    • Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to your supervisor or owner(s) and follow-up to resolve the issue if possible.

  • Compensation/Benefits

    Wages: $14.00/Hr.
    The remote location of our facility requires staff to live onsite.
    If you have your own RV: A full hookup RV site at no cost & paid utilities as an additional employee benefit.
    If you DON’T have an RV: A limited amount of on-site living quarters are available at no cost with utilities paid as an additional employee benefit.
    Staff accommodations include 2 travel trailers with queen beds, kitchens, and RV bathrooms.
    Season-end bonus: $0.50 per hour worked bonus for completing your agreed-upon work season. The bonus rate is increased for returning staff

    • Free Use of rental kayaks, canoes, paddle boards or pedal boats during off hours (evening or days off – when available)
    • Free Use of rental motorized aluminum fishing boats during off-hours (evening or days off – when available)
    • Occasional provided staff dinners for relaxation and getting to know each other.

Job Description

Full Time Position: 30-40 Hrs/Wk.
2 Days Off Per Week – Consecutive Planned but not Guaranteed
Working Couples Days Off Will Coincide
Primary responsibility is the handling of the day-to-day preparation & operation of the campground’s boat rental operation. Requires an organized self-starter that can work autonomously with little supervision once shown proper procedures of operation. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Approximately 60-80% of the position relates to boat rental with additional duties described below:
Guiding guests to RV or tent sites, cleaning RV sites, housekeeping support, cleaning of RV Park restrooms, emptying trash & recycle containers, bagging ice, splitting/wrapping wood or other duties as needed.
