  • Responsibilities

    Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance/repairs to campground buildings, facilities,
    equipment, vehicles, and grounds as directed by the engineering supervisor.
    • Comply with all KOA, federal, state, and local safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in
    the operation and storage of various equipment, tools and chemicals.
    • Maintain compliance with preventative maintenance program through regular inspection of facilities,
    buildings, cabins, vehicles, and equipment.
    • Inspecting equipment to ensure proper functioning of heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical
    systems, etc.
    • Troubleshooting problems with equipment to determine the cause of failure and determine the best
    solution for repair or replacement. Night Host duties may vary.
    • Installing new fixtures, equipment, and appliances as needed.
    • Safe operation of swimming pool and aquatic water features by maintaining proper pool chemistry
    while safely handling all pool chemicals.
    • Approach all encounters with guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
    • Prioritize tasks based upon importance and urgency with conscious planning and thoughtful decision
    making.
    • Comfortable in high-pressure and fast paced situations while maintaining composure and objectivity.
    • Maintain property by following the quality assurance manual.

Job Description

Come and join us on the front range of the Rocky Mountains in Northern Colorado. A beautiful area if you love the outdoors! We are a busy, year-round campground.

We are seeking a motivated, flexible and hard-working individuals for our summer 2024 season.  Positions are available in Maintenance, Housekeeping, Food Truck and Recreation. Depending upon the positions, season start dates are as early April 1, 2024 and end dates as late as October 31, 2024.

We have many amenities you can utilize as available including: a catch and release fishing lake, exercise trail, basketball court, chuck wagon, jumping pillow, mini golf, bikes, paddle boats, volleyball, sports field, swimming pool, wading pool, laundry, library, gym, playground, horseshoes, conference center, pavilion & gazebo.

All positions require availability of up to 40 hours per week during peak season. Anticipated hours range from 24-40hrs per week based on time of year.

The Maintenance Engineer (ME) (this would be 3 days per week) is responsible for the general maintenance, operation and upkeep of the campground buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds. They will commonly work with a team to ensure all aspects of the campground are clean, safe, and well-maintained and in good working order. The ME will use technical skills to troubleshoot and repair machinery, electrical systems, and other equipment. They also use technical skills to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and other documents related to their work. The ME will perform general carpentry, electrical, painting, and plumbing work and install new fixtures, equipment, and appliances as needed. They are also responsible for conducting the preventative maintenance program, handling guest requests and other work orders as assigned in a safe and efficient manner.

The Night Host (this would be 2 nights per week) assists the guest services department, after normal store hours, by registering late arriving customers, selling and delivering ice and firewood, enforcing campground rules, picking up trash and emptying trash receptacles, answering the after-hours phone, responding to messaging services, doing basic housekeeping duties, and performing light maintenance and repairs. They provide accurate and concise information about park rules, recreation activities, and directions to destinations. This guest facing position requires exceptional customer service, a can-do attitude, and the self-motivation to work independently.
