    Responsibilities

    Office/Store – Answer phones, make reservations, knowledge of ability to learn K2 operating system for reservations, and store sales. Ability to operate a cash register, multi-task, stand on feet for long hours, dusting, cleaning of shelves and store floors.

    Maintenance – Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must have physical ability to maintain grounds, mow, weeding, digging, building, raking, painting, garbage, propane and design. Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, various tools are necessary for daily activities. Willingness to man after hours emergency phone on occasion.

    Both positions are very active positions.  Customer service is our number one priority at all times. We encourage our workampers to enjoy their time in Benson by exploring the surrounding area on their day’s off. This will help staff to educate guests in a meaningful way when guest inquire of what to do during their stay.

      Pay of $14.35 per hour for 30 – 32 hours per week

      Discounted site rate of $550 per month (rewards members earn 75 points per day towards rewards account)

      20 gallons propane per month ($75 value)

      $10 week for laundry ($40 value)

      500 kwh of electricity per month ($90 value)

The Benson KOA is located in Southeastern Arizona south of Tucson. We are considered the “Gateway to the Historic Highway 80”. Nearby attractions include Kartchner Caverns, Tombstone, Bisbee, and Chiricahua Mountains to name a few. Our campground has 71 RV sites, 7 cabins, and 7 tent sites.  The views of the surrounding mountains are extraordinary and set the stage for beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Many of our guests enjoy birding, hiking, off-roading, and visiting the historic Wild West.

We are looking for 1 workamping couple to work 30 – 32 hours a week. One person will work in the Office/Store this position will take reservation calls, check guests in/out, ring up store sells.  The second person will be on the maintenance team, this position includes escorting guests to their site, garbage collection, landscaping, and miscellaneous projects around the park. Couple will be responsible for after-hours phone during working shifts.
