Position Summary
The Office/Guest Services position is responsible for providing friendly, helpful service to campgound guests while assisting with the daily operations of the campground office and store. This is a gues-facing position that requires excellent customer service, organization, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with questions, reservations, directions, and general campground information.
- Welcome guests and provide friendlys, professional customer service
- Check guests in and our of the campground
- Assist guests with campsite informatoin, campground rules, amenitities, and activities
- Process payments and operate the campground reservation and point-of-sale systems.
- Assist with reservations, cancellations, changes and guest requests
- Stock and organize shelves and merchandise in the campground store
- Keep the office, front desk, and store areas clean, neat and organized
- Communicate guest concerns or maintenance issues to management
- Perform other office, store and gues-service duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, retail, hospitatlity, campground or office experience preferred but not required.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable answer phones and speaking with guests in person
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn campground reservation and point-of-sales systems.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Must be comfortable working weekends and holidays during the campground season
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and walking for portions fo the workday, as well as occasional lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching when stocking shelves and supplies.
Work Environment
This is a busy, guest-facing campground position. Employees will interact with campers, visitors, coworkers, and campground management throughout the day. A friendly. professinal, and helpful attitude is expected at all times.
