Position Summary
The Outdoor Maintenance position is repsonsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the campground grounds. This is a hands-on position that requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and taking pride in keeping the property clean, safe and welcoming for our guests.
Primary resonsibilities
- Mow lawns and maintain grass areas throughout the park.
- Weed whack and trim around campsites, buildings, trees, signs roads and other areas that cannot be reached with a mower.
- Clean and maintain fire pits between guest stays
- Pick up litter and debris throughout the park and keep common areas clean.
- Maintain a newat and attractive appearance of campsites, roadways, walkways, and other outdoor areas.
- Help maintain landscaping and outdoor common areas as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and performing outdoor maintenance.
Qualifications
- Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, campground or general outdoor maintenance experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate lawn mowers, weed whackers and other grounds-maintenance equipment.
- Ability to work independently and stay on task.
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean property.
- Ability to life, carry, bend stoop and perform physical outdoor work for extended periods.
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact respectfully with guests.
Work Environment
This is an outdoor, part time seasonal position. The employee will work around campsites, vehicles, guests, lawn equipment and other campground activities.
