Maintenance & Grounds Team Member

We’re looking for a good teammate — not just someone to fill a position.

Working at a campground is a little different from a typical job. Some days you may be fixing something, some days you may be mowing, helping a guest, pumping propane, or jumping in wherever the team needs an extra set of hands.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well with others, and is willing to jump in and help get the job done. We value people who see what needs to be done and take care of it rather than waiting to be told every step.

At the same time, you aren't expected to do everything alone. Our campground is operated as a team, with local employees, workampers,, Owners and Management working together. We believe in pitching in for one another, communicating, and having each other's backs when the campground gets busy.

We work hard, but we also believe work should be enjoyable. A positive, can-do attitude goes a long way here. We want people who are dependable, kind, flexible, and able to work well with a variety of personalities.

What You'll Do

Campground Maintenance

• Perform general light maintenance and repairs throughout the campground.

• Help maintain park infrastructure, buildings, store areas, cabins, deluxe cabins, restrooms and other guest facilities.

• Identify maintenance issues and communicate them to Management before small problems become bigger ones.

• Help with seasonal projects and other campground improvement projects as needed.

Grounds & Property Care

• Mow and trim grass, sprinkler system maintenance 

• Weed and maintain landscaped areas.

• Help keep the campground clean, attractive and guest-ready.

• Assist with clearing clogged drains, sewer lines when needed 

• Assist with general property upkeep and outdoor maintenance

Propane

• Safely operate our propane dispenser and assist guests with propane fills.

• Training and required certification will be provided on site.

Guest Interaction & Campground Rules

• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, when approached. Regular guest interaction isn't a planned part of the day, but most of our guests love to say hi when they see that yellow shirt!

• Answer questions and assist guests when needed.

• Politely remind guests of campground rules when an infraction is observed or brought to our attention.

• Help create an environment where all of our guests can enjoy their stay.

Experience & Pay

We value experience, but experience alone isn't the whole picture.

We are willing to pay more for someone who brings relevant campground, maintenance, landscaping, plumbing, electrical, mechanical or other hands-on experience and consistently demonstrates strong performance, reliability and initiative.

In other words, we're looking for people who can show us what they can do. The more experience, skill and responsibility you bring to the position — and the stronger your performance — the more opportunity there is for increased compensation.

More Than Just a Season

While we are hiring for several people who can and want to work a traditional work-camping season, we are interested in finding the right person for the long term.

For someone who is a great fit for our team and wants to stay, there is potential for year-round and long-term employment, even management for the right fit.

We would much rather find someone who wants to become part of our team for several seasons than constantly start over with someone new.

A Few Things You Should Know

This is a campground, so the work is varied. You may start the day with a list of maintenance projects and finish it helping a guest, mowing a site, fixing a restroom issue or helping another team member get caught up.

If you enjoy being outdoors, working with your hands, solving problems, meeting people and being part of a team where everyone pitches in, you may be a great fit for us.

Work shirts will be provided. Employees are expected to dress appropriately for work being performed and for the weather, while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
