FRONT DESK/HOUSEKEEPING TEAM MEMBER
The Front Desk/Housekeeping Team Member serves as the cheerful frontline ambassador and first impression of our campground. This versatile role brings together exceptional hospitality, point-of-sale retail execution, light food service hospitality (at some locations), and rigorous cleanliness across our grounds, camp store, bathhouses, and cabins. Operating with a servant’s heart, high dependability, and an eye for excellence, you ensure that every camper, traveler, and family enjoys an unforgettable, spotless, and welcoming outdoor experience.
Continuing Responsibilities (To be delegated as appropriate):
- Front Desk Hospitality & Guest Reception: Provide a warm, enthusiastic welcome to arriving campers; facilitate smooth check-ins/check-outs, campground orientation, and site assignments; professionally manage phone and digital inquiries; and resolve guest concerns with prompt customer recovery using designated reservation software (K2) and communication tools.
- Retail Store Operations & Cash Handling: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to ring up merchandise, RV supplies, firewood, and propane; adhere strictly to cash and credit card reconciliation procedures; and maintain store presentation by receiving and restocking shelves and cooler displays.
- Food & Beverage Service (Where applicable at some locations): Prepare and bake menu items and scoop/serve ice cream following portion standards; maintain rigorous food hygiene, sanitation, and daily logs.
- Housekeeping & Lodging Sanitation: Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and restock public bathhouses, private showers, store areas, and common facilities multiple times daily; perform departure-to-arrival turnover of rental cabins and lodges (bedding, kitchenettes, bathrooms, and exterior living spaces) using approved chemicals (SDS) and required PPE.
- Campsite Departure Turnovers & Grounds Upkeep: Inspect vacated sites to remove micro-trash, clear fire rings, check utility pedestals for damage, and maintain overall park cleanliness by emptying public waste/recycling receptacles and dispatching prompt firewood and ice deliveries directly to guest sites.
MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBER
The Seasonal Maintenance Team Member serves as a vital steward of our campground’s physical appearance, safety, infrastructure, and outdoor hospitality. Operating with a servant’s heart, humble dependability, and an eye for excellence, you ensure that grounds are manicured, utility pedestals and facilities are fully operational, campsites are impeccably staged, and equipment is operated with uncompromising safety. Whether escorting arriving campers to their sites, delivering firewood and ice, or resolving utility issues with a warm and friendly presence, you directly create a safe, welcoming, and memorable environment for our camping families.
Continuing Responsibilities (To be delegated as appropriate):
- Grounds Stewardship & Landscape Execution: Perform routine grounds upkeep including zero-turn and push mowing, string trimming (weed eating), brush clearing, leaf removal, and blowing paved areas; maintain clean flower beds, trails, recreational zones, and common outdoor spaces to preserve the pristine natural beauty of the property.
- Site Turnover & Departure Staging: Rigorously inspect and reset vacated RV sites, tent areas, and cabin pads between departures and arrivals; clear fire pits and rings of cold ash/debris; eliminate micro-trash; rake gravel site pads; and test utility hookups (30A/50A electrical pedestals, water spigots, sewer caps) to ensure immediate readiness for incoming guests.
- Roaming Concierge & Guest Services: Serve as an outdoor hospitality ambassador by warmly welcoming campers, escorting RV rigs safely to their sites via golf cart/UTV and providing guidance on utility hookups and park layout; fulfill and deliver firewood bundles, bagged ice, and store items promptly to guest campsites; and log tasks and communicate across departments using the custom UDRG App, radios, and Slack.
- Facilities Sanitation & Minor Repairs: Partner with housekeeping in maintaining spotless public bathhouses, commercial laundry facilities, pool areas, and trash pavilions; execute continuous micro-trash cleanup and empty heavy dumpster/refuse receptacles property-wide; and execute entry-level carpentry, basic plumbing clearing/spigot repairs, and minor electrical upkeep (e.g., bulb/fuse/breaker replacements), promptly escalating complex mechanical or structural repairs to the Campground Manager.
- Equipment Operation, Propane & Safety Compliance: Conduct pre-shift inspection, fluid checks, and cleaning on all campground machinery (zero-turn mowers, tractors, trailers, UTVs, pressure washers, and hand/power tools); safely dispense propane to guest bottles and motorized rigs following required safety certification and local codes; and maintain strict adherence to PPE standards.
