  • Responsibilities

    As an Activities/Backup Housekeeping Coordinator, your primary responsibilities include planning, organizing, and maintaining the designated activities, carrying out tasks associated with planned events, and managing any associated costs. This entails setting up and cleaning the designated activity area, ensuring seamless execution of planned activities, and accurately charging participants when necessary.
    In addition to these tasks, you will be responsible for compiling a weekly supply list of items needed for upcoming activities. It’s important to note that some activities may occur on weekends or holidays during the later evening hours. The flexibility to work during these times is crucial, as weekend activities are spread throughout the day to cater to our diverse guest schedule.
    Housekeeping responsibilities will include cleaning and preparation of accommodation and/or sites to ensure a welcoming environment for our guests. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing cleaning and maintenance of various amenities scattered throughout the campground. Keep in mind that this position may require moving, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 25 lbs. without assistance. Being able to withstand seasonal temperatures is a must as some work is done outside. Whether working independently or as part of a team, your dedication will contribute to the overall upkeep and positive experience of our guests during their stay.

  • Compensation/Benefits

    The rate of pay starts at $11 per hour – Paid $10 biweekly and once the agreement date is met, you will receive additional $1 for every hour you worked. FHU Site is free with a minimum of 30 hours a week (alternatively, free sites available if you work one day a week), you will pay monthly electricity at .14 cents per kilowatt hour, 20% off store and merchandise (coin-operated machines, propane, and alcohol are excluded), and a minimum of three KOA logo shirts are supplied. Port Lavaca/Matagorda Bay KOA Holiday has limited sites allotted for our team members. The Hiring Manager assigns all sites based on our campground needs.

We have stunning bay views, wonderful fishing opportunities, and the potential for frequent dolphin sightings, our campground is a delightful escape for visitors. Our location accommodates seven park models, a glamping tent, five baths/showers, a guest laundry, an arcade, a clubhouse, a pizza café, and watersports.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed. The positions available include roles in Guest Services/Housekeeping, Front Desk/Merchandizing, and Grounds/Maintenance. We are open 7 days a week, 9 am-7pm, hours are flexible starting at 16 hours a week
