Job Overview: Campground Maintenance Manager

The Campground Maintenance Manager oversees the physical upkeep, safety, and operational readiness of all our campground facilities, amenities, and equipment. This role requires a highly self-motivated, detail-oriented leader who can effectively manage a maintenance team while remaining hands-on with daily tasks. The ideal candidate ensures that the grounds, all accommodations, pool and splash park, and utility systems are pristine and fully functional to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Core Competencies & Skills:

• Self-Motivated & Detail-Oriented: Ability to work independently, prioritize heavy workloads, and spot minor issues before they become costly guest complaints.

• Team Leadership: Experience training and managing a seasonal maintenance crew.

• Mechanical Aptitude: Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing small engines (golf carts, UTVs, etc.), electrical systems, ice machines, and plumbing.

Key Responsibilities- working 5 days on 2 days off (35-40 hours/week):

1.  Manage Campground Maintenance Staff

• Oversee & Create a Team Environment with hired maintenance team

• Delegate basic maintenance duties, expressing clear communication of all expected tasks to be performed to maintain the daily operations of the exterior of the campground.

2.  Equipment Management

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all campground machinery, including tractors, golf carts/UTVs, mowers (zero turn, electric, push, etc.)

• Troubleshoot mechanical failures, change oil/filters, sharpen blades, and manage parts inventory.

• Ensure all equipment is operated safely and stored properly.

3. Guest Lodging & Building Maintenance

• Oversee upkeep and rapid-response repairs for our 5 Deluxe Cabins, 4 Camping Cabins, and 3 Bath houses/ 2 Laundry Facilities (including full plumbing, HVAC, and appliances, structural and basic electrical, while maintaining high standards for guest use)

• Perform carpentry, basic drywall repair, painting, and fixture replacements between guest check-ins.

4. RV Sites & Grounds Care

• Maintain full-hookup RV sites, ensuring water, sewer, and electrical pedestals (20/30/50 amp) are safe and operational.

• Lead overall landscaping care, including mowing, trimming, weeding, tree pruning, and trash removal.

• Execute rigorous campsite turnarounds, ensuring fire pits are cleaned, patios well-maintained, picnic tables are repaired, and sites are debris and insect/rodent-free.

5. Water Amenities & Aquatics

• Manage daily operations, chemical balancing, and filtration systems for the swimming pool and splash pad.

• Maintain and keep detailed logs.

• Power-wash decks, clean filters, and winterize water facilities.

We provide our Staff the following:

• Free FHU RV site (20/30/50amp) A $200 deduction each month will be banked and distributed back accordingly after fulfillment of each commitment per staff agreement.

Our campground is in the “old-west” style community of Silt, CO, 17 miles west of the historic mountain town of Glenwood Springs. The area is known for the historic hot springs, mountain jeep trails, fishing, hiking, biking, and river rafting/floating. Set right along the banks of the mighty Colorado River, our campground is a great base camp to see the diversity of landscapes Colorado has to offer. Our campground is newer as it was built brand new in 2015, we have been enjoying its growth and all it has to offer our guests-come take a look for yourself!
