Miles City KOA Journey is located near the Tongue River & Yellowstone River, close to the site of Fort Keogh. Camp among 50 mature cottonwoods in an area where early Native Americans once lived. You will be welcomed to this high desert elevation of about 2,500 ft. Within walking distance, you’ll find restaurants, bars, the Range Riders Museum, historic downtown, fairgrounds & ball fields. Check out the buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Among them, see the Olive Hotel, where “Gus” drew his last breath in the miniseries Lonesome Dove. You can also stop by Miles City Saddlery & The Historic Montana Bar. Historians, agate hunters, dinosaur enthusiasts & outdoor lovers all appreciate this area. William Clark & George Custer camped nearby too.
