Ride the SAM Shortline Excursion Train to President Carter’s former campaign headquarters in Plains and boyhood home in Archery. Visit a museum, national cemetery and site of a Confederate prison camp at Andersonville National Historic Site. Tee off at Georgia Veterans Memorial Golf Course (10 mi). Go to the races at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele. Stop by a strawberry farm. At the campground, gather pecans in season. You’re in cotton, peanut, peach and pecan country!
